Our keynote speakers come from a wide variety of disciplines. Encouraging this diversity of voices, but with a single intention and theme, enables the symposium to focus on the underlying connections and find what’s meaningful for each and all.
This year’s speakers once again promise to inspire us, provoke discussion and provide much food for thought:
We will delve into the complexity and apparent mystery of money with Jonathan Yiangou who is at the forefront of global banking systems in his position at the European Central Bank and Marina Kusumawardhani who is looking at complementary currency schemes and their potential to connect, reconnect and create communities.
The question of sustainability, whether it be of the banking, agricultural, environmental or political systems will be drawn out by Sam Henderson founder of Agrarian Rennaissance and Jemima Roberts, writer.
The worlds of Quantum Physics and International Dance may superficially have little in common – but the Symposium was never put off by appearances and we will examine these with the help of Bobby Antonio, who is researching how quantum theory allows two opposite things to be happening at once, and Beyhan Murphy, Turkey’s top choreographer.
With Ashima Kaul, one of Kashmir’s most inspired and dedicated peacebuilders and Aaron Cass, director of SKGR, we will find ways to talk together about some of the threads that run through all our lives and contemplations – whatever we may be ‘doing’ on the outside.
